Da Pode was born from the desire to bring true Tuscan cuisine to the table, built on genuine recipes and ingredients. In the kitchen of our restaurant in San Gimignano, we work following a simple principle: respect the ingredients and their season, to create typical Tuscan dishes that are always recognizable and of high quality. Thanks to the work of mostly small producers located just a few kilometers from us, vegetables come from our trusted growers and meat from certified Italian farms. We also produce our own wine directly at Tenuta Sovestro, our family’s agriturismo.

Our philosophy in the kitchen starts from traditional Tuscan food, from the farming tradition of families who cooked with what the land offered. Mrs. Lucia, with the wonderful help of her staff, has always offered guests both well-known classic recipes and dishes worth rediscovering.

Few ingredients, carefully chosen, prepared to bring out their natural flavor. This is the approach followed by Alfredo, known as Pode, and one that Alessia and Barbara carry on today with the same passion.
